Juan Rodriguez, a second-year student pharmacist, was elected as the 2020-2021 National President-Elect for the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP). Juan is a student in the College’s Leadership Exploration and Ability Development (LEAD) program and has served on the executive committee of the UTHSC chapter of APhA-ASP for the past two years.
Kirk Hevener, PharmD, PhD, has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 University of Tennessee Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher Award. Dr. Hevener serves as assistant professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. “Dr. Hevener is an outstanding educator, and he is so deserving of this honor,” Dean Marie Chisholm-Burns said.
