Congratulations to Dawn Havrda, PharmD, and Sarka Beranova, PhD, who were named recipients of the 2024 Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) Teaching Awards. The winners were selected by UT Health Science Center students and fellow faculty.
Dr. Beranova, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, was awarded the Inclusive Teaching Award, which recognizes the outstanding efforts of faculty who create and foster an inclusive, equitable learning environment for all students. Inclusive faculty support the success of all students by eliminating opportunity gaps, valuing all perspectives, creating a welcoming, respectful environment, and utilizing equity-minded practices.
Dr. Havrda, Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science, received the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Award, which recognizes the achievement of faculty who have contributed the most outstanding paper or presentation related to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
