University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy P3 students Kolayah Shelton and Jaden Black participated in the UTHSC/Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) Our Future is Now (OFIN) event on Saturday, February 3. At the event, Kolayah and Jaden worked with over 40 MSCS students to teach them about exciting opportunities in pharmacy. Dr. Katherine March, Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, serves as an OFIN advisor.
Dr. Maria Lingerfelt was gracious enough to donate supplies for the event, and Kolayah and Jaden led them in a fun, interactive activity where they compounded a gel.
OFIN is a mentoring program where UTHSC students from all professions mentor 8-12th grade students interested in health careers.
