Madison Sluter, PhD, received the inaugural Duane Miller Award in Drug Discovery from the UTHSC COP Drug Discovery Center. This award recognizes a single student who has demonstrated outstanding work in drug discovery.
“Sluter’s outstanding work under Dr. Jiang’s mentorship in the areas of small molecule drug discovery and development played an integral part in her receiving this award,” said Wei Li, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Director of UTHSC College of Pharmacy Drug Discovery Center.
Sluter also receives a monetary award generously provided by Dr. Miller for this year.
Sluter graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Molecular Systems and Pharmacology with a concentration in preclinical drug development in June of 2023 from the UTHSC.
