UTHSC’s Alpha Nu Chapter of the Rho Chi Society was announced as one of two winners of the Chapter Project Proposal Award for spring 2021 at this year’s Annual Meeting.
As an award winner, the chapter will receive a $500 grant to implement its proposal, titled “Interview Survival Kit: Preparing Pharmacy Students for Residency Interviews in a Virtual World.”
Madeline Mahon, a P3 student on the Memphis campus, serves as president for the chapter. She said the project aims to provide students with an “Interview Survival Kit” featuring flashcards and practice interviews to aid in interview preparation, especially for online interviews.
“Our chapter did a great job responding to a year where many things were done virtually,” she said. “This project will provide an opportunity to better us as student pharmacists and give us practice in virtual etiquette. Even those not pursuing residency could benefit from these skills as more things are done virtually moving forward.”
