UTHSC student pharmacists have continued to assist in COVID-19 vaccinations across the state this month.
In Memphis, students and faculty members have volunteered alongside nursing and medical students at the Appling Emissions Station, a drive-through vaccination site coordinated in partnership between the city and University Clinical Health. They have administered the second dose of the Moderna vaccine to first responders and people age 75 and older who had received the first dose, as well as first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to those who qualified.
In Knoxville, volunteers from the College of Pharmacy have worked alongside nursing students from the University of Tennesse, Knoxville to administer vaccines for University of Tennessee students and employees who qualified for the vaccine.
