|

Dr. Tyler Marie Kiles, assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science, was selected as a participant for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation 2020-2021 Faculty Scholars Program.

Dr. Kiles is one of only five faculty members chosen from colleges and schools of pharmacy nationwide to participate in the 18-month research mentorship program. As part of the Faculty Scholars Program, Dr. Kiles has been awarded a grant for $5,000 to conduct her study “Patient Perspectives of Discussing Social Determinants of Health with Community Pharmacists,” the results of which she will present at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) National Meeting in 2021.

“I am excited to participate in the NACDS Foundation Faculty Scholars Program,” Dr. Kiles said. “I believe that it will help develop the research skills, mentorship, and platform to help launch my research program, which will focus on the role of community pharmacy in addressing social determinants of health.”
