The first cohort of the UTHSC College of Pharmacy’s Leadership Exploration and Ability Development program completed the program in May.
The students included Connor Alexander, Lauren Biliter, Kristen Blagg, Matt Cheramie, Kevin Darko, Maggie Davis, Kenzie Overshine, Urvi Patel, and Juan Rodriguez. All nine students received their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificates for successful completion of their Lean Six Sigma projects.
“This program is rigorous, and I am proud of these students for being dedicated to this program while completing the PharmD curriculum,” said Dean Marie Chisholm-Burns, who also served as course director for the program.
The LEAD program is comprised of four courses for a total of 16 credit hours. College of Pharmacy faculty members Drs. Leslie Hamilton, Ken Hohmeier, Chelsea Renfro, and Christina Spivey served as advisors for the program.
