Dr. Rogers Named ACC Associate

Dr. Kelly Rogers, Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and UTHSC Campus AED Coordinator, has been named an Associate of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). The ACC is a professional designation that recognizes cardiovascular team members who, through advanced training, professional development and service to the ACC, have proven their commitment to providing quality cardiovascular care.

In addition to serving as a member of the ACC Cardiovascular Team Section for more than two years, Dr. Rogers has been practicing cardiology for 21 years, and more than 100 publications, book chapters, abstracts, poster presentations, etc. in the field.  As an Associate of the ACC, she will further spotlight her commitment to the highest standards of cardiovascular care and will remain conferred to the highest credential by her peers. In addition, she will participate in the ACC’s Annual Convocation Ceremony, which is held during the ACC Annual Scientific Session.

At the UT College of Pharmacy, Dr. Rogers teaches cardiology in Therapeutics 1, directs the advanced cardiac life support elective for P3s, and precepts students on APPE cardiology rotations at the Memphis VA Medical Center. In addition, she is the Course Director for the CPR elective and teaches the American Heart Association CPR Instructor Course each spring.
