On February 29, Dr. Clarence L. Fortner (’59) passed away at the age of 79. Dr. Fortner was a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service for 30 years and served in several different roles during his tenure. He worked with Pfizer following his retirement from the Public Health Service. The College of Pharmacy extends sympathy to his family during this time of mourning.
On March 8, Dr. Ryan Gaston (’05) passed away suddenly. The College of Pharmacy extends sympathy to his family including his wife Kan Gaston, PharmD (’03), his daughter Gabriella, and son-to-be, Luke. His wife Kan currently practices at Regional One Health in the neonatal intensive care unit and serves as a preceptor to UT students.
