On September 29, Dr. Dannye “Doc” Ray George (‘70) passed away at the age of 67. Dr. George practiced at a variety of community pharmacies in the McMinnville area throughout his career and he was affectionately known as “Dan-O” or “Doc.” The College of Pharmacy extends sympathy to his family, including his daughter, Christa M. George, PharmD (’95) and her husband, Chris Wood, PharmD (’96), both Clinical Pharmacy faculty members in Memphis. Memorial donations may be made to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation or to the UTHSC College of Pharmacy in his honor.
