Dileep Janagam, a PhD candidate in Dr. Tao Lowe’s research lab in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, received a travel award for his research abstract titled “Injectable in situ forming depot systems for long acting contraception” from the Formulation Design and Development (FDD) Section of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) to attend the 2015 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition in Orlando, Florida, October 25-29. He will be recognized and honored by the AAPS FDD Section Reception at the annual meeting. When asked about the award Janagam noted, “I see AAPS as a standout scientific society dedicated to fostering the scientific and professional growth of pharmaceutical scientists worldwide. Attending the AAPS annual meeting will be an excellent chance to share and discuss the recent and fascinating research findings in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, and also it serves as a great platform providing numerous networking opportunities. I am very excited to know that my abstract has been selected for the travelship and I thank AAPS FDD Section for their encouragement through the travelship. Also, I would like to express my sincere thanks to my advisor Dr. Lowe, College of Pharmacy, and UT College of Graduate Health Sciences for the wonderful support.”
