Subhash Chauhan, PhD, professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences recently was tenured at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Dr. Chauhan obtained his PhD from the Central Research Institute (BRA University, Agra) in Lucknow, India. The primary research interest of Dr. Chauhan’s laboratory is to identify and characterize the diagnostic and therapeutic targets for cancers including: ovarian, cervical, prostate, and pancreatic. The research is heavily focused on the identification and characterization of biomarkers that aberrantly express or localize in cancer cells in order to develop newer tools for early disease diagnosis. Dr. Chauhan has been involved in over 25 publications which focus on cancer research, targeted therapies, tumor progression and metastasis, molecular cancer therapies, and antibody therapies and nanotechnology.
