Leslie Hamilton, PharmD, BCPS recently was promoted to associate professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Dr. Hamilton obtained a BA degree in English Literature from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before continuing her education at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Upon completion of her PharmD in 2007, she pursued a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at UTHSC in Memphis. Before joining the faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, she was a faculty member at Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Hamilton has received various honors and awards, including UTHSC Student Government Association Executive Council Excellence in Teaching Award, Preceptor of the Year award from UT Medical Center, Preceptor of Excellence award from Auburn University, Who’s Who in Healthcare, and Who’s Who Among Professional Women in Pharmacy. Dr. Hamilton’s publications include over 30 abstracts and 20 manuscripts, the majority of which focus on patient outcomes in the critical care arena.

Joanna Q. Hudson, PharmD, BCPS, FASN, FCCP, Hudson IIFNKF recently was promoted to professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of TN College of Pharmacy. Dr. Hudson earned a BA degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia, a PharmD from Virginia Commonwealth University – Medical College of Virginia (VCU-MCV), and completed a two-year Nephrology Fellowship at VCU-MCV before joining the faculty at the College of Pharmacy in 1998. In addition to her role as professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, she holds an appointment in the Division of Nephrology at the UTHSC College of Medicine and maintains practice as a Clinical Pharmacist at Methodist University Hospital. Her research interests include drug disposition and management of complications in acute and chronic kidney disease patients, and Dr. Hudson currently has an active grant to evaluate removal of antibiotics by sustained low efficiency dialysis. Dr. Hudson has been recognized with awards including the UTHSC Student Government Association Executive Council Excellence in Teaching Award and the UTHSC College of Pharmacy Class of 2007 Teacher of the Year Award. She is past president of the National Kidney Foundation of West Tennessee and is actively involved in various organizations related to pharmacy and nephrology.

Junling Wang, MS, PhD recently was promoted to professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of TN College of Pharmacy. Dr. Wang obtained a Bachelor of Medicine in Preventative Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Economics from Shandong University in 1994 and 1997, respectively. From there, she attended the University of Maryland and earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Health Services Research in 2005. Dr. Wang’s research is focused on topics such as health economics, health disparities, health outcomes research, and pharmacoeconomics; funding for her research has been provided by many organizations including the National Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Pfizer, and the State of Tennessee. She has published over 50 articles in both English and Chinese, and she has received several awards and honors for her research and teaching, including the Nobuo Meade International Research Award from the American Public Health Association, UTHSC Student Government Association Executive Council Excellence in Teaching Award, and Health Services Research Award from UT.
