Chisholm-Burns Gives Graduation Keynote Address
Dean Chisholm-Burns was the keynote speaker at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy Graduation in May. She was invited by UConn School of Pharmacy Dean, James Halpert. The theme of Dr. Chisholm-Burns’ address was a motivational lesson on achieving future success as a pharmacist.
In her address the dean stated, “As the U.S. population continues to grow and age, pharmacists will be needed to meet health care demands. As a result, pharmacy professionals will have a multitude of opportunities. However, you cannot be passive about these opportunities. It is up to you to create niches, shifts, and trends in the pharmacy profession. I challenge you to find and develop opportunities, make them your own, push the envelope, and be agents of change.”
