Drs. Leslie Hamilton and Steve Foster were awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award for the College of Pharmacy by the UTHSC Student Government Association Executive Council (SGAEC). Dr. George Wood also received the SGAEC Excellence in Teaching Award for the College of Graduate Health Sciences. This award recognizes concerned, outstanding teachers known for their ability to communicate, to respond to student needs, and to promote independent thought among the student body.
Dr. Rob Nolly, received the University of Tennessee Alumni Association (UTAA) Distinguished Service Professor Award. It has been decades since a College of Pharmacy faculty member has received this award. The UTAA Distinguished Service Professor Award honors faculty whose contributions to the development and implementation of university policies and programs through non-administrative roles have made notable impact on the quality of the university. The recipients also have continued to provide effective teaching and have maintained an active program of research, scholarship, or creative work.
