Nick Capote and Kishan Desai in Barcelona, Spain. “There are plenty of things to eat, see, and do in and around Barcelona. It is a large city with a small city feel, which is easy to fall in love with. We experienced hikes with breathtaking views, the best football (soccer) team in the world, and some of the best food we have ever tasted. Another great characteristic of Barcelona is its close proximity to the rest of Europe. If you desire to feel as if you are “away from it all”, take a few hours out of your day to visit Costa Brava, a stretch of small towns along the Mediterranean/Balearic Sea still untouched by tourism (Kishan sits on edge of L’Escala cliffs at Costa Brava). In addition to Costa Brava, it is easy enough to visit countries like France, Monaco, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and even the Balearic Islands of Spain. Barcelona absolutely makes you feel as if the world is your oyster and you can bet we will return!” -Nick Capote

“Camille Davis and I studied in MahaSarakham, Thailand in January 2015. While studying in Thailand, we were able to learn a lot about how healthcare works in another country. We especially enjoyed learning about the herbal medicine which has a large presence in Asia. Learning about Thai culture was also very fun, and delicious! Our experiences on this rotation were unforgettable and we hope to visit Asia again very soon.” -Hannah EberleChelsey McCoy McPheeters, Rachel Calkins Renwick, and Ellawyn Baker studied in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
