The first annual Knoxville Race for the Summitt 4-Miler, organized by the UT College of Pharmacy Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), raised over $5000 as a donation to the Pat Summitt Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research. The Pat Summit Foundation was established after Pat Summit, the most influential women’s basketball coach in the University of Tennessee’s long history, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. A special thank you to race director, James Barker, and all the student pharmacists who helped coordinate the race.
