The college extends sympathy to the family and friends of Lester Martin Bates (’40) who passed away on December 6, 2014 at his home in Maury City at age 92. Dr. Lester Bates was the owner of City Drug Co. in Maury City for 35 years and retired after 50 years.
The college extends sympathy to the family and friends of Todd Bess (’84,’85) on the passing of his father, George Bolton Bess of Nashville, who passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at age 83. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as firefighter. He was a retired Captain from the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department after 32 years of service, and retired from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 46.
The college extends sympathy to the family and friends of George D. “Sonny” Deal (’62) of Brentwood who passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at age 75. Dr. Deal owned and operated Deal Drug Company in the Woodbine area of Nashville for over 35 years.
The college extends sympathy to the family and friends of James Frank “Jimmy” McDonald (’49) who passed away at Baptist Hospital in Memphis on December 9, 2014, at age 86. Dr. Jimmy McDonald purchased Highland Heights Pharmacy in Memphis in 1966 where he was a tireless champion of his patients, his community, the pharmacy profession, the Tennessee Pharmacists Association, and his alma mater until he retired.
