The first annual Knoxville Race for the Summitt 4-Miler was organized by the UT College of Pharmacy Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) as a benefit for the Pat Summitt Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research. The race was held on November 8th in Knoxville. The course featured a 4-mile tour of the UTK campus, where Pat Summitt established her legacy as one of the best women’s basketball coaches of all time. Following the race, there was an after-party featuring light refreshments, music, and a silent auction featuring prize packages from local businesses and unique collectable Pat Summitt memorabilia. Thank you to James Barker, race director, and all the students who helped coordinate the race. They succeeded in raising over $5000 for the Pat Summit Foundation.
