Please join us in congratulating our winners of the 2014 Local Clinical Skills Competition, P3 student pharmacists Lauren Bode and Trey Smith. The American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Local Clinical Skills Competition featured a total of 15 teams. The competition consisted of two rounds, one written and one oral. Teams were presented with a complex patient case and had two hours to complete a written assessment of the patient. The top 10 teams from round one moved on to the oral round. Lauren and Trey will now represent UTCOP in the national competition at the ASHP Mid-Year Clinical Meeting in December in Anaheim, CA. Rounding out the top three teams were P4s Becky Shaffer and Rachel Renwick and P3s Swati Jain and Lisa Hayes.
