The August 2014 newsletter incorrectly reported that Carleton Maxwell, PharmD (’06) was elected as president of the National Pharmacists Association. Dr. Maxwell was elected president of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) for 2014-16. He is the youngest President in the history of the organization and the second person to serve as National President or both NPhA and the Student National Pharmaceutical Association. Dr. Maxwell is currently the Cardiovascular Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was appointed to the UTHSC College of Pharmacy Alumni Board earlier this year.
