Residency match rates for Class of 2014 have been released. Once again, UTCOP shows its dedication to producing well-qualified residency candidates. For PGY1 residencies, UT was in the top 13% of all colleges in the nation for percentage of students who initially matched (75.5%), with 40 graduates matching across the country. Only 13 colleges of pharmacy in the nation produced more residents this year, and only 4 of those 13 had a higher match percentage. Final data show that 44 UT graduates, 35% of the class, will be completing a residency next year. For PGY2 residencies, UT had a 90% match rate, with 9 residents matching. Only 8 other colleges of pharmacy had more PGY2 residents match, but only 3 of those 8 colleges had a higher percentage of matched PGY2 residents.
