The Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI) student chapter at UTCOP was recently reactivated following an enthusiastic interest meeting involving approximately 60 students across the state. CPFI seeks to provide support and fellowship among like-minded professionals, as well as challenge and promote spiritual growth. While attending the American Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL, chapter officers attended the CPFI Prayer Breakfast and were able to meet fellow chapter officers from across the nation. At the Knoxville campus, students have begun hosting a weekly prayer breakfast for all interested students and faculty. CPFI will hold joint monthly chapter meetings at the Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville campuses. In addition, they plan to provide information to students who desire local church involvement during their time in pharmacy school. CPFI also aspires to partner with local churches and community ministries throughout the year for opportunities of service. Chapter officers include Ashley Kwasigroh (President), Brandon Ladd (Vice-President, Memphis), Christopher McCown (Vice-President, Knoxville), Adam Boucher (Secretary, Memphis) and Emily Endres (Secretary, Knoxville). Chapter advisors include Dr. Bradley Boucher, Dr. Rebecca Chhim, and Dr. Catherine Crill in Memphis, and Dr. Anita Airee, and Dr. Aubrey Waddell in Knoxville.
