P3 Student Holly Angell Elected Student Liason for APhA Pharmacy Section

|

We are thrilled to share that our P3 student, Holly Angell, has been elected as the student liaison for the Pharmacy Section of the American Public Health Association (APhA).

Holly will start her new role in November 2025, right after the APHA conference. This is the second time a UTHSC College of Pharmacy student has held this distinguished position.

As Student Liaison, Angell will serve as a bridge between student members and the APHA Pharmacy Section. She will promote opportunities for student leadership and involvement within APHA, share updates, events, and initiatives of the Pharmacy Section with the APHA Student Assembly community, and represent student perspectives on the Pharmacy Section Council. Additionally, she will assist in developing student-centered programming and events, including at the APHA Annual Meeting, and collaborate with other APHA Student Liaisons to enhance student engagement across sections.

“This national leadership role gives me the chance to connect students with public health initiatives, amplify student voices in pharmacy, and build partnerships that support the future of public health,” says Holly. “One of my main goals is to increase student engagement through exciting webinars and events and expand leadership opportunities for students within the Pharmacy Section.”
