Congratulations to Reaunna Morgan, the first winner of the Annual Pharm-tastic Award for the 2023-24 academic year! The annual winner is chosen from among the quarterly winners, Carmen Coleman, LaVerne Williams, Lee Weaver, and Demetria Sisk, based on nominations and merit. Reaunna not only received four nominations over the course of the year in three out of the four quarters, but the nominations were submitted by four different individuals representing both departments in the college, Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The annual winner receives a spot bonus. On June 12, a luncheon was held in her honor hosted by the Dean, and attended by the quarterly winners and Pharm-tastic committee.
Highlights from Reaunna’s nominations include that she “consistently demonstrates a true customer service attitude, always being courteous and professional in her written emails and conversations. She is solution-oriented, and if unsure, she seeks out answers promptly. Her positive and can-do attitude is recognized by her colleagues.” Another nomination recognized “the exceptional work of Ms. Reaunna Morgan, an administrative aide on the 3rd floor. Over the past few months, my laboratory and I have had the pleasure of working with Reaunna to help place orders, remit payments, and reconcile ledgers. She provides assistance to a disproportionate number of DCPTS faculty (including all of those that are research intensive), which makes her productivity even more impressive.”
The “You’re Pharm-tastic” award was launched in January 2022 to recognize staff accomplishments that surpass expectations, promote an environment of teamwork, and encourage access and opportunity within the college.
