Shelby Rummage, PharmD, and Mariah Hubi, PharmD Grant Recipients

|

Members of UTHSC COP’s PGY-1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program, Shelby Rummage, PharmD (left), and Mariah Hubi, PharmD (right), have both been awarded an American Pharmacists Association Foundation Incentive Grant!

The Incentive Grants provide seed money to pharmacists, students, and community pharmacy residents to implement or support innovative patient care services within their pharmacy practice. The longest-running program of the APhA Foundation, which began in 1993 with grants totaling over $500,000, has facilitated the development of over 600 pharmacy-based projects, improving the health outcomes of thousands of patients across the country.

The PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program is a multi-site community-based pharmacy residency program administered by the UTHSC College of Pharmacy and conducted by affiliated pharmacy practice sites. As a resident, recent PharmD graduates spend a year at one of the pharmacy residency sites across Tennessee.

It is worth noting that UTHSC’s PGY-1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency Program has been receiving an APhA Foundation Incentive grant every year since 2019, making this our fifth consecutive year of grant recipients.
