Diego Benavides (P3 – Class of 2025) was selected for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) inaugural Aspiring Academics class.
The program, designed to facilitate a deeper understanding of career paths in academic pharmacy, engages the chosen students through asynchronous learning modules, mentorship, networking, a group project, involvement with AACP, and attendance at Pharmacy Education 2024 and the Teachers’ Seminar in Boston.
Benavides and faculty mentor Dr. Dawn Havrda, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, are one of 20 student-faculty pairs selected. “This is an awesome opportunity for Diego,” said Dr. Havrda. “He has a deep curiosity for all things academics, and being among this cohort will truly inspire him as he continues on this journey in Pharmacy academia.”
