Two College of Pharmacy faculty were recently elected to leadership positions for the American Public Health Association (APHA).
Dr. Justin Gatwood, PhD, MPH, associate professor in the department of clinical pharmacy and translational science on the Nashville campus, was selected as chair-elect of the pharmacy section for the APHA.
Dr. Tyler Melton, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, assistant professor in the department of clinical pharmacy and translational science on the Knoxville campus, was elected as a section counselor for the APHA pharmacy section.
The APHA has championed the health of all people and all communities for 150 years and combines a broad-based member community with a long-term perspective that enables the organization to influence policy to improve the public’s health.
Congratulations Drs. Gatwood and Melton!
