UTHSC College of Pharmacy students celebrated Halloween with service and social events across the college.
The UTHSC chapters of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) and Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) sponsored Boo Flu on October 18 to provide free flu vaccinations for UTHSC employees and students. The APhA-ASP chapter also sponsored the Vampire Cup Halloween Blood Drive on October 26 and partnered with Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church in Knoxville for a Trunk or Treat event, where student pharmacists dressed up as “Heroes of Healthcare” and educated parents on the importance of over-the-counter-medication safety and proper medication disposal and storage.
On October 29, the dean’s office provided a Trick or Treat for students as they passed out candy to students on campus.
