Leslie Hamilton, PharmD, FCCP, FCCM, BCPS, BCCCP, associate professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science, was named as one of the first recipients of the Volunteer 40 Under 40 Award.
The new recognition program celebrates University of Tennessee alumni who are 39 or younger and have excelled personally and professionally since completing their degrees. Dr. Hamilton received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2003 and her PharmD from the UTHSC College of Pharmacy in 2007. She currently serves as associate professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science on the Knoxville campus.
“I was shocked and honored to receive this award, especially seeing some of the other recipients who are well-known in sports and other arenas,” Dr. Hamilton said. “I am a proud graduate of both University of Tennessee Knoxville and University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy and glad I can continue representing the university.”
