Student pharmacists are participating in call centers to assist in the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of these call centers is with Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) COVID-19 Hotline. Anyone can call with questions about the virus, and student pharmacists give up-to-date information and direct patients to their closest testing center.
Another call center is with Tennessee Department of Health. The students are assisting with contact tracing to notify patients if they have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
