The 4th Annual UT Fungal Pathogens Group Research Conference and Retreat was held July 15-17 at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook, Alabama. This event brings together the four antifungal therapeutics and pathogenesis laboratories from the Experimental Therapeutics group in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science (David Rogers, Glen Palmer, Brian Peters, and Jarrod Fortwendel) with laboratories in the Department of Microbiology at UT Knoxville.
“We hope to continue to build upon this success, grow this remarkable group, and promote the impact we have made towards overcoming the unacceptable morbidity and mortality associated with serious fungal infections,” Rogers said.
The meeting is supported by the UTHSC Center of Excellence for Pediatric Experimental Therapeutics and the First Tennessee Chair endowment.
