College of Pharmacy students Alicia Guthrie (P4, Memphis) and Kwan Lin (P3, Memphis) presented research posters at the annual Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.
Guthrie’s poster was titled “Impact of prior authorization delays on hepatitis C treatment completion rates and sustained virologic response,” and Lin’s poster was titled “Clinical and economic outcomes associated with concurrent use of opioids and benzodiazepines in the elderly Medicare population.” Drs. Nancy Hart and Ted Cory mentored Guthrie for her project, and Drs. Sam Li and Junling Wang mentored Lin.
Guthrie and Lin were part of the third class of PQA-CVS Health Foundations Scholars.
