The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy held its graduation ceremony on May 7, 2019 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis. Dean Marie A. Chisolm-Burns presided over the ceremony, and the commencement address was given by Dr. Victoria Roche, Professor of Pharmacy Sciences and Special Assistant to the Dean at Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.
Drs. Robert Parker and Kenneth Hohmeier presented the PharmD graduates with their academic hoods before they received their diplomas from Dean Chisholm-Burns. A commemorative coin from the College of Pharmacy was given out by Dr. Peter Chyka. Following the presentation of diplomas, Dr. Chasity Shelton led the presentation of awards with assistance from faculty and special guests.
At the ceremony, the Memphis Class President, Paige Gander, presented the 2019 Class Gift to the Pharmacy General Scholarship Fund in the amount of $2971 to Dean Chisholm-Burns.
