Dr. James Wheeler, Director of Continuing Education and Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science, received the TSSP Student Advocacy Award. This award is presented annually to a professor, preceptor, or other pharmacist who has been a TPA member for at least two years, who has demonstrated devotion to the success of student pharmacists through a commitment of life-long leadership which directly encouraged, inspired and facilitated the development of TSSP organization member(s) to perform to their fullest potential.
Dr. Wheeler has served as TSSP advisor since 2015. His involvement in the Tennessee Pharmacists Association began as a student and continued into his career.
