Anna Love (P4, Knoxville) and Greg Phelps (P4, Memphis) attended the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Pharmacy Education 2018 meeting in Boston as Walmart Scholars. Dr. Maura Jones, a PGY-2 Pharmacotherapy resident, also attended as a scholar and the three were joined by mentors Drs. Leslie Hamilton, Andrea Franks and Sam Li.
The program, funded by Walmart, provides $1,000 scholarships to 85 students from AACP member institutions to attend two AACP seminars with a faculty mentor. The scholarship covers 100% of the student’s cost to register for the AACP Annual Meeting and Teachers Seminar.
