Santosh Kumar, PhD, an associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, was recently named a UT Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher Recipient for 2018. Kumar was selected by the UTHSC Student Government Association (SGA) based on nominations from the student body.
The UT Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher Award recognizes excellence in the classroom as part of the association’s continuing effort to encourage resourceful and creative instruction, and to publicly recognize exceptional teaching. Recipients of the Alumni Outstanding Teacher award will receive a $1,000 cash reward.
Kumar was honored at the Student Government Association Executive Council Banquet on April 18 in Memphis and will also be recognized at the UT Alumni Association Board of Governors Awards Dinner in Knoxville on June 1.
