Justin Gatwood, PhD, MPH, and Sam Li, PhD, both assistant professors in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science, received New Investigators Awards from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy for 2018.
The New Investigator Award provides start-up funding for the independent research programs of early-career pharmacy faculty. This grant is intended to be the first extramural research funding received by a faculty member as a principal investigator (PI), with the goal that research funded by the NIA will provide a foundation for future scholarly endeavors and continued extramural funding success.
Dr. Gatwood’s award is for his work on “Strengthening Student Pharmacist Engagement and Teamwork with Productivity Software” while Dr. Li received his award for his work on the “Effects of the First U.S. Biosimilar on Patient Clinical and Economic Outcomes.”
