Dr. Jeremy Stultz joins UTHSC College of Pharmacy Faculty

The UTHSC College of Pharmacy welcomed Jeremy Stultz, PharmD, to the faculty as an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy on July 1.

Dr. Stultz received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 2010. After graduating, he completed a PGY-1 Pharmacotherapy Residency at UTHSC and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. He then completed a 2-year Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Fellowship at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Stultz was an Assistant Professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Pharmacy in Richmond, Va., from 2013-2017 where he practiced as a general pediatric clinical pharmacist at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

Dr. Stultz has published over a dozen peer-reviewed manuscripts in reputable journals such as Drug Safety and the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association. His research interests include infectious diseases, computerized clinical decision support, and medication safety. He also authored 3 clinical cases for the first edition of the Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment Casebook.

He is an active member of multiple national pharmacy organizations including the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group (PPAG) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). He served as the PPAG Research Committee Chair and Co-chair from 2014-16 and received the 2012 ACCP Pediatric PRN Travel Award.
