The UTHSC College of Pharmacy’s eighth annual Pinning Ceremony brought the Class of 2018, faculty, staff, friends and family together in the Cannon Center for the Arts for a memorable afternoon on Monday, November 14. Like a ritual celebrating a rite of passage, the annual event commemorates the student pharmacists’ completion of didactic coursework and their shift to the advanced practice experience portion of the curriculum.

Dr. Bradley Boucher, Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Operations, opened the ceremony, and both Dr. Leslie A. Hamilton, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, and Dr. Kenneth C. Hohmeier, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, pinned each student. Dr. Molly Stoltz, PGY-2 Resident at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, spoke to the students and provided them advice on this next chapter in their journey to receiving their PharmD.

Also during the ceremony, several awards were given out including the Most Influential Faculty Award to Drs. Leslie Hamilton, Ken Hohmeier and Rob Nolly.
