The College of Pharmacy’s Office of Experiential Learning and International Programs hosted thirteen international students this fall. Students from Thailand, Japan, Hungary, and Ireland, arrived for the first week of classes and stayed for four weeks in Memphis. They had the opportunity to visit St Jude, LeBonheur, the VA Medical Center, and Methodist University Hospital. They also shadowed students on Adult Nutrition APPEs at Regional One, a preceptor at Walgreens, attended courses and went on many outings with UTCOP students. As a final thanks for their time and our continued affiliation with their home institutions, Dean Chisholm-Burns hosted a closing dinner at Central BBQ (of course). They were an engaged group of students and pharmacists who formed lasting connections with each other and UT.
