On Tuesday, October 27, 2015 the Generation Rx Committee held their first ever event at the East Tennessee Department of Child Services (DCS) to provide a continuing education presentation about prescription drug abuse. At the DCS main office in Knoxville, Jessica Walker (pictured) spoke to 17 social workers from all over East Tennessee about the warning signs of prescription drug abuse, as well as the implications current drug abuse trends have on the state. The program was a great success, so much so, Generation Rx has been invited back again next year with the possibility of presenting to the Nashville and Jackson offices.
