The second annual Knoxville Race for the Summitt 4-Miler, organized by the UT College of Pharmacy Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) to support for the Pat Summitt Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research, was held on Halloween, October 31 in Knoxville. The race course featured a 4-mile tour of the UTK campus, where Pat Summitt established her legacy as one of the best women’s basketball coaches of all time. Details of the race were highlighted in Knoxville on WATE TV news by third year student pharmacist, Kim Keller. Kim is the race chair and she has worked tirelessly to promote the race’s success. The spot on WATE is just one of many promotions, including announcements on local radio station, 104.5 FM and a “jumbotron” feature at a UT football game.
