Dr. Debbie Byrd (’94), professor of Clinical Pharmacy and associate dean for Professional Affairs, earned her MBA from Tennessee Technological University in May 2015. Dr. Byrd earned a 4.0 GPA in the program and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society. Dr. Byrd is pictured left with her son, Nathan.
Dr. Robert A. Lucas, University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy preceptor and clinical pharmacist, earned his MBA in Healthcare from New England College in April 2015. He completed the Pharmacy Leadership Academy (PLA) through ASHP which can be used as class credit towards 5 different masters programs around the country. Dr. Lucas, pictured left, is the current Pharmacy clinical coordinator and PGY1 residency coordinator at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville.
Dr. Ben Gross (’06) is currently an associate professor and the director of Residency Programs at Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy. Since graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Dr. Gross has always wanted to pursue a MBA and grow his knowledge of business. This year he achieved this goal through completion of Lipscomb University’s MBA program with a concentration in leadership, earning a 4.0 GPA. Dr. Gross considers himself a lifelong learner and plans to use this accomplishment to further develop his leadership skills for future opportunities in Academia. Dr. Gross is pictured left with his wife, Dr. Brooke Whitmore Gross (’07).
