
Residency match data for Class of 2015 have been released. Once again, UTCOP shows its dedication to producing well-qualified residency candidates. For PGY1 residencies, UT was in the top 3% of all colleges in the nation for number of students who initially matched, with 58 graduates matching across the country. Only 3 colleges of pharmacy in the nation produced more residents this year, and only 2 of those had a higher match percentage rate than UT’s 71% matched. Final data show that 65 UT graduates, 37% of the class, will be completing a residency or fellowship training next year. For PGY2 residencies, UT had a 93% match rate, with 14 residents matching. Only 2 other colleges of pharmacy had more PGY2 residents match, but only 1 of those colleges had a higher percentage of matched PGY2 residents.
