Student Pharmacists Earn ACLS Provider Status

ACLS

On April 27, twenty-four students earned their Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider status. ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who help manage cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest. According to Dr. Kelly Rogers, students learned about the pharmacists role in ACLS and undergo simulations where each student ultimately performs as the team leader during a “megacode”.  The students are now qualified to help handle these medical emergencies. The following students completed the ACLS course:
