Christopher Wood, PharmD, FCCP, FCCM, BCPS, associate professor of Clinical Pharmacy was selected in February as a preceptor for the American Society of Health-system Pharmacy (ASHP) critical care traineeship program. The traineeship is a 5-month, ACPE-accredited, educational experience during which pharmacists will be trained to develop and maintain specialized services for the management of critically ill patients. The course is divided into distance learning and experiential education, focusing exclusively on the critical care setting. Wood has been a faculty member for this program since 2012 at Regional One Health. This year, Drs. Swanson and Boucher, along with part time faculty members Drs. Paige Clement and David Hill will all spend some time with the trainee, Mopelola Fadayomi, B.S.Pharm., FPCP from the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo in Nigeria, during the two-week onsite visit.
