Congratulations to our Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) chapter on being the winner of the Shot@Life national competition sponsored by the United Nations Foundation. The Shot@Life competition is meant to advocate for global immunizations. During the challenge, each SNPhA team was to hold an in house district meeting and contact at least 5 state representatives by phone to raise $300. The UTCOP chapter also sent multiple letters to representatives in east, middle, and west Tennessee and set up tables in Memphis and Knoxville with computers that students could use to send emails to them as well. They raised over $400 to win the competition. Their donation was matched, which brought their total contribution to the Shot@Life campaign to $800. Winning the Shot@Life challenge netted the chapter a $300 grant for the Spring Campus Challenge, as well as 30 Shot@Life t-shirts.
