The annual American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) Bowling Tournament was held October 21st in Memphis. Students participated in teams of five and were encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes. Prizes were awarded for the highest individual score, highest team score, best team costumes and funniest team costume. The event was held at Billy Hardwicks AllStar Lanes in Memphis. All proceeds support the Melinda Rhea Garrett Scholarship. A member of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy Class of 2009, Melinda died unexpectedly during her first year of pharmacy school. Her degree was awarded posthumously at graduation. Members of her class established this scholarship in her memory.
